Q  Is the property shown online the actual property that I will stay in?
Yes, absolutely.

Q  Are the images shown of the actual property that I will stay in?
Yes, the images you see online are of the actual accommodation that you are booking.

Q  Do any of your properties allow functions or parties?
Gary Powers Real Estate Pty.Ltd. has a strict no party and no function policy, if these conditions are breached we reserve the right to terminate your accommodation immediately.

Q  When can we start enquiring and booking for Christmas/New Year’s School Holidays?
We will start opening up bookings for this period in July. Please keep in mind that the last season’s regulars will get first preference.

Q  Are there any homes that will allow pets?
Yes, we do offer some pet friendly properties, your booking Agent can discuss your pet’s requirements with you. Standard policy is they are welcome inside but not on furniture or in the bedrooms. It will be the tenants responsibility to clean up after your pet, including vacuuming dog hair and removing dog excrement.  Failure to do so will result in an extra fee being charged for the cleaner from your bond.

Q  What time can I check in?
Check in time is from 2.00 pm onwards

Q  Can I have an early check in?
This is subject to availability. This may not be possible if a guest will be departing on the morning of your arrival, the property needs to be cleaned meaning that the normal check in would apply.

Q  What time do I check out?
Check out is 10.00 am. It is important that you check out on time to allow cleaning to take place before the next guests arrive.

Q  Can I have a late check out?
This is subject to availability. It is possible that a new guest will be arriving on the day of your departure, prior to this the property needs to be cleaned meaning that the normal check-out time of 10.00 am would apply.

Q  Where do I collect keys from?
Gary Powers Real Estate office, 56 Lake Street, Loch Sport.
Open 7 days a week – office hours 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

CLOSED –  Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Booking Day, New Years Day

Q  Where do I collect keys after hours?
Alternative arrangements can be made for collection of keys after hours from a key lock safe. Please discuss this with your booking Agent.

Q  Do I need to show ID when collecting keys?
Yes identification will be required if you are not one of our regular clients.

Q  What if there is an emergency?
You will be given an Emergency Contact Number once you have placed your booking.

Q  How can I contact you?
Once your booking has been confirmed you will be sent an email confirmation with all our contact details listed.

Q  Do we need to clean the property?
You do not need to do a full clean of the property upon departure, however we do require the homes to be left clean and tidy on departure in a similar state as to how you found the property upon your arrival. If the property is not left in a reasonable standard an additional charge for cleaning will be deducted from your bond. We do organise for the property to be cleaned after your departure to ensure that the next guest has a hygienic comfortable stay and complies with our standards.

Q  Are we able to have extra guests stay in a caravan or tent at the property?
Unfortunately not under any circumstances will we allow a caravan or a tent at the property.

Q  Can we pay extra for additional guests?
Please inform us of any extra guests and we will discuss it with the Landlord. Some properties cannot handle additional guests staying and in turn may impact on your stay.

Q  What kind of linen do we need to provide?
You will be required to bring pillowcases, sheets, tea towels, personal towels and beach towels.

Q  What happens if I break something?
Accidents happen sometimes. It is best to let us know if this does occur. You are more likely to incur a charge for breakages or damages if we do not know about it. Upon your departure, an inspection will alert us to any damaged or missing items. As per the guest registration form you have signed, such incidents are charged to the guest accordingly.

Q  Do I need to put out the garbage bins?
Yes. Collection days in Loch Sport are Monday morning. Guests are responsible to place the bins to the curb on collection day if this occurs during your stay. The best indication is to check the street / neighbours who have put out their bins as you would at home. Failing to do this, guests will incur a cost for excessive garbage collection as per our terms and conditions.

Q  What happens if I lock myself out of the property?
If you lock yourself out after business hours you will be required to pay for a locksmith service call. This can be expensive! During business hours you can contact our office to gain entry to the property.

Q  What if we have a maintenance/cleaning/electrical problem?
Cleaning, maintenance or electrical problems must be reported to our office or after hours number – office – 03 5146 0411 mobile: 0492 814 507 as soon as possible and we will make every endeavour to rectify the problem.

Q  Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, we will require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking.

Q  Do I have to pay a bond?
$500 bond is required on all bookings.

Q  Will I receive confirmation once I have paid?
Yes, bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment by the Agent. You will receive a Rental Trust Receipt via email for your records once you have completed your booking and payment.

Any deposit and final payments must be received by the Agent by the due date as agreed between the parties. The below cancellation conditions will apply:

  • Namely that if the Agent is notified of cancellation less than 28 days prior to the check in date that the Agent shall be at liberty to invoice the Guest for all or part of the full booking payment, at the Agent’s sole discretion.
  • A booking is taken in good faith by Gary Powers Real Estate Pty.Ltd, however it may be subject to change or cancellation by the owner of the property prior to the commencement of the booking. We cannot accept responsibility for actions taken by the owner of the property outside of our control. Every reasonable endeavour will be made to offer alternative accommodation should this situation arise. A full refund will be offered should you not wish to proceed with alternative accommodation.
  • That the premises and location are described to the best of our ability in good faith and no responsibility or refunds will be accepted.
  • That the Guest understands that they have chosen the property without viewing the property prior to booking that they are responsible for their own choice.
  • That there is no refund for cancelled or terminated bookings.
